Whether you are thinking about visiting your sponsored child, helping with one of our projects, or just to experience what God is up to in another part of the world; taking a GO trip this summer will be an experience that you will never forget. These trips are designed to change your life and make an impact in our world.
Amber Smith has been going down to Guatemala with GO for a few years and has fallen in love with the city and people there. While she was in Guatemala, she got to work with LAVOSI, a school for the deaf, and Asociación Niños del Mundo, an afternoon project for children. She writes this about her life-changing time spent in Guatemala,
“One day at Asociación Niños del Mundo, we walked with the kids to a soccer field to play some sports and outdoor games. During our time there, it started to rain and storm. The kids didn’t even seem to care, because we were just playing sports with them. Their joy in that moment was so contagious. After a while we were all soaked, the rain started to pour down even more. We all decided to head back to the building and on the way back, this little boy that I had gotten to know was riding on my shoulders. When we arrived back at the building and I set him down from running, he gave me the biggest hug. This day just melted my heart.”
We have several different trips going to Guatemala, Mazatlan, and Senegal. Our trips range from a week to a month so there is lots of flexibility to fit one in your schedule. There are six different teams traveling to Mazatlan between March and July, two teams going to Guatemala May-July and one team traveling to Senegal in the spring. Is God calling you to go on one of these trips? If you are interested in any of the listed trips, click here to see more details and register today!
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.”
