Want to get involved at GO on the Mission?

Find information below on sponsoring a child, taking a trip, participating in a project or volunteering.

Sponsorship is a way to be deeply and intentionally involved in the lives of the impoverished.

You can make a difference in the life of a child or vocational student for just $39 a month.

GO wants you to be an active sponsor. We encourage sponsors to write letters, send small gifts, and even visit to form a meaningful relationship with the sponsored child or young adult, making connections and creating change in a real and tangible way.

  • Routinely ranked as one of the ten countries with the worst education in the world, it is no surprise that by age 13 over 60% of children are no longer in school.  The literacy rate in Burkina Faso is less than 40%, and it remains one of the poorest nations in the world. GO’s sponsorship program helps provide tuition to high-quality Christian schools where children are set up to succeed in their education and come to know the God who loves them.

  • Just outside of Antigua, Guatemala there is a town named San Antonio Aguas Calientes. The people there are warm and friendly, but many are struggling to provide for their families. Almost half of the adults did not finish school and are illiterate. Most struggle with unemployment. Children living in this area lack the access to quality education. GO’s sponsorship program helps provide these children with food, tutoring, education in English, music, and sports, and a Bible Club where they learn about the hope they can have in Jesus.

  • Our sponsorship program in Mexico is located in the state of Sinaloa in Mazatlán.  Mazatlán is known as a city of beach resorts and tourism, but just outside of the resorts, most of the population lives in poverty, where most children do not have the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty into which they were born, forcing them to choose a life of poverty or crime.  GO’s sponsorship program provides these children with food every day, hope in the form of relationships with caring adults and spiritual training.

  • Since the early 1990’s the number of children living on the street has been increasing at an alarming rate in Senegal.  Unemployment is a massive problem, with a rate of over 25%.  Most children do not complete their education and nearly half are not in school by age 13.  GO’s sponsorship program for children helps provide tuition to high-quality Christian schools where the success rate is over 98%. GO’s sponsorship program for young adults provides tuition to vocational training programs for those who did not complete traditional education.

Creating meaningful relationships with our partners and sponsors through trips is the difference between surviving and thriving.

First, you should know that anyone can go on a trip. Our youngest trip member has been 6 months old and our oldest was in her 70s. We know the Kingdom of God is multigenerational and multicultural. We’ve even had whole families that go on trips together!

Whether you’re looking to visit your sponsored child, help with a project, or simply experience what God is up to in another part of the world, taking part in a GO mission trip will grow your heart, broaden your perspective, and change your life!

If you are interested in scheduling a trip for a group for 2023, or if you have questions about an upcoming trip, please email GO on the Mission. If you are interested in going on a trip, keep checking this page to see when new trips are posted.

From building projects to business investments, we love being part of building God’s Kingdom with our partners.

At GO we believe the people of the culture know their communities and the people in them. They know what works, and what doesn’t. As the basic needs of the people are met, doors are open to help meet emotional and spiritual needs as well.

Below is a list of projects we are currently working on in Latin America and Africa to bring health and wholeness to neighborhoods. Through your involvement in projects whole communities are being redeemed and transformed in the name of Jesus!

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO PARTNER

  • CHURCH PARTNERSHIP

There are many ways for churches to partner with GO. We’d love to talk with you about how forming a partnership with GO can have a lasting impact on both your congregation and a community in need. You can adopt a school or feeding center, take a trip to one of our global sites, host a sponsorship Sunday, and more.

  • CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP

GO would love to work with your corporation. There are many corporate sponsorship opportunities available from presenting a GO event to supporting one of many global projects. We offer great benefits to our corporate sponsors and would be happy to talk those over with you today.

  • PLANNED GIVING

A large gift for a specific project or need is a wonderful way to make a big impact in the world. Planned gifts, usually $5000 or more, are a way to hear about the needs in our global mission sites, and meet them. With planned gifts, you have the opportunity to direct your funds to a project you are passionate about.

  • STOCKS + BOND GIVING

A great way to move the mission forward is donating stocks and bonds to GO on the Mission. Your donation can be directed to the GO General Fund or any project of your choosing.

  • ESTATE PLANNING

To have a lasting impact, and extend your legacy of caring for those in need, consider estate planning. As you make a plan for your estate after you are gone, you can include GO on the Mission. Past gifts have been made for advancing the work of GO, funding a sponsorship through graduation, memorial project donations, and more.
