2022 CCTikvah Meet the Teacher Night

On Monday evening, August 8, the parents of students at Centro Cultural Tikvah, Mazatlán, gathered at the school for Meet the Teacher night!  A team from Washington was there to see this community hear the vision for the school for the coming years and ask questions about their children’s education.  New School Director Stess Cain, who had arrived in Mazatlán just three days before, welcomed the families and shared her heart for seeing students thrive in a bilingual classroom setting and becoming the leaders of their communities in the future.  Returning teacher Alejandra Martinez was also able to share her excitement in carrying on with her returning students as well as meeting the new class of first graders.  This year, Stess and Alejandra will both teach both classes of students.  Alejandra will teach only in Spanish, and Stess will teach only in English, with the teachers swapping classes half way through the day every day.  Finally, the Music and PE teachers shared their passion for seeing students learn and grow through those activities.  Pastor Marilú Mariñelarena led the prayers for the school and the families who are part of it.  It was a wonderful night!
